NEPTUNIUM utilizes various sounding methods for seafloor mapping, including single-beam echosounders, to collect measurements along specified profiles, and multibeam echosounders, which provide high-density soundings and with the suitable positioning systems, the seafloor can be measured with centimeter precision. For surface exploration and target detection, NEPTUNIUM uses side-scan sonars (SSS) and forward-looking sonars (FLS) to identify man-made structures, rocky areas, reefs, debris, submerged nfrastructures, and other objects.
NEPTUNIUM exploits sophisticated software suites to process the acquired data and deliver high-quality products like bathymetric maps, mosaics, seafloor classification maps, geomorphological maps, sediment distribution maps, etc.
